01 — Overview
A multi-apartment residential building with a contemporary façade that handles sun and privacy together.
02 — Our role
A residential building is solved through elevation and plan together. We handled sun and privacy with the same elements — opening depth and its treatment — rather than adding a separate device for each, and planned the unit so it repeats cleanly up the building.
03 — Approach
We studied Basra’s solar orientation first and derived the façade treatment from it, then tuned the typical apartment plan to repeat vertically with the least waste in shared areas.
04 — Outcome
A residential building designed with a treated façade and a repeatable apartment plan.
