A two-storey villa in stone and white massing with recessed balconies, and outdoor rooms holding shaded seating, an outdoor kitchen and a pool. The interior was designed throughout: an indoor garden, a fireplace room, a ground-floor living and dining suite, a playroom, a spa, and a stair beneath a skylight.
The brief here was a family house that holds what a family would otherwise leave to find: an indoor pool, a spa with sauna and Moroccan bath, a playroom and a fireplace room. These are all wet or heated spaces, so our role was to place them where they could be serviced easily rather than wherever space was left over.
An indoor garden sits at the centre of the house, drawing light from a skylight above the stair, and becomes the light and air source for the rooms around it. The ground floor is arranged as one band — living, dining and fireplace — and the children’s rooms were individualised, each with its own palette and theme.
Complete architectural and interior design: elevations, boundary walls and entrances, and the interiors including the spa, the pool and the children’s rooms.
